Motivation is defined the reason or reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way. Motivation is also defined as the general desire or willingness of someone to do something. When I think about motivation it is hard to achieve without purpose. As it pertains to making real change in the lives of people, finding out what motivates them gives us insight into a vulnerability that most of us don't articulate to just anyone. A lot of people aren't very receptive to sharing this information. Rarely will people voluntarily share details about what motivates them out of a fear of scrutiny, feeling inadequate, and all the other insecurities that come with divulsion intimate truth. I believe that those who are afraid, inadequate, and insecure about their purpose have the keys to unlock the door to change but never use them. The focus has to shift for them mentally from being afraid and insecure to being confident. Then turning inadequacy to competency. Finding out what motivates you helps discover identity as well. When the questions can be answered you have found your why. I encourage everyone to answer this question. Challenge yourself to build it, cultivate it, and evolve your answers. As you evolve, so will the things that motivate you; therefore remember that it is okay to change your motivation. Be true to yourself and everything that you desire will be within reach. All you have to do is put in the time and do the work to find the answer to this question.
